What emotional impact do you want your photography to have
upon the reader and how will you achieve this?
The overall impact I want my photography to achieve upon the reader is not emotional. It's more focused on the impact it would have on your mind in which that would spring a string of emotions. I hope my photogrpahy will leave readers believing they could go out and make their own music and discover their inner-musician and hopefully start their own band of hope and dreams. Giving people goals is what i hope to gain as looking towards the future and being the person you want to be is bigger than the majority of achievements the person will have gained. Enjoying the photography however is the most important emotion i want to get across to the reader as sitting down reading a magazine should bring someone happiness in which photography helps deliver.
What personnel do you need? Who are you going to photograph?
I will photograph close friends who are musicans in rock bands. However, for my larger photos in which will be on the front cover and double page spread I will be using photographs from bands playing live that they themselves have arranged to be photographed. luckily, i have got premission from the bands I will be using to use any image from their facebook page.
How are you going to emphasise colour?
As my magazine will be running along the theme black and white to compliment the rock genre any colour in any of my images that are not black and white will instantly stand out and capture the readers eye I will achieve this by using techniques that are on the software 'Photoshop'.
Have you briefed your personnel/models?
To repeat what i have said previously I have full premission from the band members to use photos of them playing live in which i'm using for my magazine. Also, I have debreifed my friend who will also be in an image im using so he knows why im using images of him.
What lighting will you need? Any other equipment?
Gladly, i do not need any lighting only stage lighting that was provided at a gig, but i will need a working camera to capture the shots i need and also guitars as a guitar will feature within my images within my magazine.
Where will you shoot? Will you need a backdrop?
I will shoot at gigs with people within the crowd and lighting upon the stage overlooking the crowd and the band.Mise-en-scene - Make-up? Costumes? Props?
Within the image instruments will be heavily featured and other musical equipment. however no props or make up will be needed as rock is all about being yourself expressing yourself through music.
