Firstly, i got an image of Jarvis Cooker, duplicated layer of the background, selected the layer in which i used the magic wond tool to delete the background that I didnt want so i could pace the masthead behind the main image. After the magic wond tool I then completed the look withan earser to make it look more professional leaving no marks behind. secondly, I then went onto add text whihc would become the masthead in ordinary settings but slightly large. that then went on to behind his image as i placed the text layer in between the two layers ( background and main image). Thirdly I edited to suit my style so I changed the colour to blue and the boarder to black. in whihc i added another text layer showing audiences where I would put the cover lines as well as copying and pasting the barcode onto the cover.
Tyler, you have successfully completed the photoshop skills development task, using tools that will be invaluable when it comes to your main task construction. I would look to try and gain further experience on Photoshop and be sure to record any practice work that you do on your blog.
