key features of a magazine cover




masthead: usually at the top left corner, normally associated as a brand, that is positioned so it is the first thing someone reads when looking at the cover of the magazine normally is the logo coverlines:draws the audience into the magazine with less than 5 words normally short and catchy but factual. could be seen as the teaser of the front cover sub-head: goes in to detail of what is in the magazine found under the main cover lines. Basically it explains the enigma. main images: Is the main selling point of any magazine it's the mian attratcion using branding a unqiue selling point that fans and audiences want to capture, it will be mainly found dead centre in an image which is effective because it hits the audiences eyes with impact.The main image is the brand of the magazine the look it wants to promte as its identiy. colour scheme: the palette is restricted to a few contrasting colours for a max impact. key information: this is the part that consumers need to know the issue date the price and what the shop owners need the barcode

  1. Tyler, you have identified the key features of a magazine cover, and have defined each of these, as well as explaining their purpose. However, I would look rework the formatting to make it easier to read, as well as taking care with spelling, use of capital letters etc as your portfolio is also assessed on presentation.

    You also need to add titles to your blog posts.
